Frequently Asked Questions

How I work, what I build, and what to expect.

This page covers the common questions people ask before we start working together. If you do not see your question here, you can always reach out through the contact page and I will answer it directly.

Working together

A look at who I work with, how projects start, and what collaboration feels like.

Do I need a full scope or brief before I contact you?

No. A clean description of what you are trying to accomplish is enough to start. Tell me where you are at, what is not working, and any deadlines you already know about. From there I can help shape the scope into something realistic and buildable.

Do you work with small businesses and solo creators?

Yes. A lot of my favorite projects come from small teams and solo owners who need a serious build without agency overhead. If you are clear about your goals and ready to make decisions, we can usually find a format that makes sense.

Web, systems, and hosting

The technical side: platforms, hosting, and how I approach system-level work.

Do you handle hosting and technical setup?

Yes. I can provide hosting if you need it, or we can look at other providers together and build a setup that fits what you actually need instead of what inflates your monthly bill. Once we choose the right environment, I handle the SSL, routing, security, and setup, and leave you with something you understand instead of a mystery server humming in the void.

What platforms and technologies do you use?

I work heavily with PHP and WordPress (including WooCommerce, custom plugins, and consoles), along with SQL and the backend logic that keeps everything running. The stack always follows what your project needs, not the latest buzzword.

Can you fix or improve an existing site?

Yes. I often step into projects that are half-built, bloated, or not behaving the way the owner was promised. I review the foundation, stabilize what works, and rebuild what does not so we are not stacking new work on top of weak structure.

Process and timelines

How projects move from first contact to launch, and what timelines usually look like.

What does your process look like from first contact to launch?

Everything starts with a short email or intake form. From there I put together a simple outline with phases, timelines, and ballpark pricing. Once we agree on direction, I build in stages, show working previews, and refine before anything is locked in.

How long does a typical project take?

Smaller fixes or focused design work can land in a few days to a couple of weeks. Larger site builds or systems projects usually range from a few weeks to a few months depending on complexity and how quickly decisions are made. I give realistic ranges, not slide-deck fantasy.

How involved do I need to be during the project?

You do not need to live in your inbox, but key decisions require your input. I handle the day-to-day work and bring you in when choices affect the function, the look, or the way customers experience your project. We try to knock out most of the big decisions early so we avoid slow-motion back-and-forth later.

Pricing and support

How pricing works, what hourly ranges look like, and how support is handled after launch.

How do you price projects?

Most work is priced on a project basis with clear deliverables so you always know the costs. For custom development that does not fit a fixed package, my hourly rate runs from $95 to $120 depending on the platform and depth of work. PHP, WordPress, SQL, and system logic tend to sit on the higher end. The idea is simple: fair rates, no nickel-and-diming, and work that actually earns its keep.

Do you offer payment plans?

For larger projects, yes. Typically there is an initial deposit, a milestone payment during the build, and a final payment near launch. When we are shaping your project details, we also build a payment schedule that follows the actual phases so costs feel organized, not unpredictable.

Do you provide ongoing maintenance or support?

Yes. Monthly maintenance subscriptions are available with a set number of hours for updates, fixes, and small improvements. Hours reset each month so the focus stays on keeping your site current rather than stockpiling unused time.

Music and creative work

How music, visuals, and web work blend together, and what styles I work in.

What kinds of music projects do you work on?

Although I come from a hard rock and metal background, I work across a wide spectrum. Heavy, melodic, cinematic, or atmospheric. The style always follows the project, not just my playlist. The goal is to build audio that amplifies your story.

Can you handle both web and music for the same project?

Yes, and I often prefer it. Letting one person shape the site, visuals, and audio makes it easier to build a digital identity that feels like a single world. Nothing here is stock; everything is crafted to match your brand and the experience you want people to have.

Practical details

Communication, location, and how modern collaboration actually works.

What is the best way to contact you?

The contact page is the best place to start. A short note and any useful links help me understand what you need quickly. Direct email and SMS are also available if you prefer.

Do you work remotely, or do you travel?

Everything is done remotely. With modern tools for previews, collaboration, and feedback, there is rarely a good reason to spend your budget on travel. I would rather invest that time and money into the build itself and keep progress moving.
